The Witcher Season 2 is an upcoming TV series which follows the story of Geralt Rivea, a severely mutated monster hunter who has genetically enhanced human skills and special powers to kill monsters.
The show is based on a book by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski’s. Even with just one season, it has received wide spread popularity and many positive reviews on the monster hunter drama.
The first season of the series was aired on December 20, 2019, and consists of only eight episodes.
The Witcher Season 2: Release Date
Netflix announced the release of season 2 with eight-episode in 2021.
However, there might be a delay in that release date due to the COVD pandemic. The good news is that Netflix announced that The Witcher season 2 will resume production from August 17, by tweeting a song by Jaskier, the bard.
We could expect The Witcher season 2 to be released in and around August 2021 from a report by Platige Image. They are the special effects company who are behind season 1 and 2.
The report states that it’s special effects work on all eight episodes of The Witcher season 2 is due by July 2021.
The Witcher Season 2: Plot
Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissirch states that “Moving into Season two, what’s intriguing is our storylines start to turn into just a tiny bit more cohesive.”
Netflix has always made its decisions based on the audience reaction, and the how successful it is based on how the audiences responded to the series.
In this case, the audience did love it. So, season 2 for the show is a no brainer.
