How to get Zoom Cloud Meetings on Roku

Step 1: Plug-in your Roku Device to the HDMI port on the TV

Google Chromecast is a streaming media player that allows you to takes content from the Internet and displays it on your TV. You can easily cast a zoom meeting to your TV via Chromecast device.

The Chromecast dongle that you connects to your TV via an HDMI provides you a way to control what you watch.

Note: Chrome browser is required to enable Zoom screen casting with ChromeCast.

Step 1: Open your Zoom app and enter the meeting.

Step 2: Once the meeting has started and is working properly, open your Chrome browser in another window < three dots < Cast from the menu.

Step 3: Tap on the Chromecast device that you want to mirror your Zoom meeting. Choose the Sources dropdown and click on Cast desktop.

Cast Zoom Meetings on Roku using Windows

As mentioned before, your Windows Laptop or PC and the Roku must be connected on the same network in order for casting.

Step 1: Press the combination Windows + P keys on your Laptop or PC keyboard simultaneously.

Step 2: Select Connect to a wireless display.

Step 3: It will search and locate for all the nearby wireless devices that are available on the same network.

Step 4: Accept the permission on your Roku and the Windows screen will mirror on the TV.

Step 5: Launch the Zoom app on your Windows device or use the web version on a web browser.

Use AirPlay to Mirror From iOS and Mac

Unfortunately as of now, Roku mirroring doesn’t work with Apple devices but there is still hope for Apple users.

If you are an iOS users – iPhone, iPad, or Mac, you can use AirPlay to mirror your display screen to your Apple TV.

Make sure that your Mac or iOS device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV that you plan to mirror to, otherwise it won’t work.

For iOS devices

  • Make sure that your iOS device and your Apple TV software is up-to-date
  • Pull down the Action Center
  • Select Screen Mirroring.
  • Choose your Apple TV name from the device list to start mirroring to the Apple TV.
  • Launch the Zoom app and start your call or meeting.

For Macs

The above process still follows on Mac. From the top of your Mac’s menu bar, simply select the AirPlay icon and from the drop dowm menu, select Apple TV.

Launch the Zoom app on your Mac and it should now display on the TV.
