Follow the below steps to download and install apps from the Windows Store.
Open the Window App Store
There are two ways to open the window store.
1) Click on the “Start button” or the Window button and tap on the Windows Store.
2) Alternatively, you can click on the Store icon at the bottom of the screen in the taskbar.
Create Microsoft Account/ Log in
If already have you a Microsoft account, you can log in with your credentials into the store.
Select Sign in < tap on the Microsoft account. Enter your login credentials (i.e username and password) and click on Sign in.
Next, Enter your PC’s login password and tap on Next to change your login account to your Microsoft account. Or click on “Sign in to just this app instead” to keep your PC’s login as it is.
Search for Apps
Once you are logged in, featured apps will be listed in the carousel on the homepage.
Sort the apps by Games, Entertainment, Productivity, Deals (paid apps). There is also a search bar at the top right for manual search.
If you know the name of the app you are looking for, simply use the search bar to type in the name for faster results.
However, if you don’t have anything specific in mind to search for, you can browse and filter by top apps, games and collections.
Download and Install
Once you have found the app you want to download and install, tap on it and it will redirect to the app page with summary and overview of the app alongside with system requirements, reviews and related apps.
Click on “Get” for the download process to start automatically. For paid apps, tap on the buy button which will redirect you to check out page.
You might need to add a payment method if it is your first time buying a paid app on the Windows store. From there it is pretty much self-explanatory.
Once you’ve downloaded or purchased an app, you can use the app on any device with your Microsoft account to log in as long as they are compatible with it. It ranges from your smartphone, laptop, PC Desktop, or Xbox.
After the app is downloaded and installed, the install button automatically changes to Open. Tap on it to open the app.
You can also find the installed app in the Start’s app list.

Browse through the featured content or type in the name of the music or shows you are looking for on the search bar and click on it from the search result.
Click on the “Buy” button to purchase it. Your content will be made immediately available for you to watch or stream.
