Stranger Things season 4 is an upcoming Netflix’s sci-fi TV show which has gained immense popularity from the first 3 season.
It seems that Stranger Things season 4 was indeed in production until the coronavirus pandemic shows up and halt until further notice.
That’s quite a bummer if you are a hardcore Stranger Things fan.
Will there be Stranger Things season 4?
As mentioned before, yes, there will indeed be another season for the show. On Sept 30th, Netflix confirmed that the show will return for a fourth season and Noah Schnapp even hinted of the possibility for a fifth season of the series.
It seems like the show will be more intense and darker than ever. Netflix’s Momita SenGupta has stated that Stranger Things season 4 will be much more “bigger, bolder, and more intricate than ever”.
That’s a good new for all Strangers Things fans out there.
Stranger Things season 4: Release date
The Production began in March 2020 but with the filming currently in halt and shut down due to the coronavirus outbreak will definitely have an impact on the release date.
Actually, According to TV Line, the fourth season of the show was supposed to be wrapped up in and around August with an optimistic December 2020/January 2021 release date. However, that is not happening due to obvious reasons.
As of now, there has been no official confirmation from the Production.
If you look at the pattern the show is aired, it is usually premiered around national and public holidays such as Halloween for Season 2, and Season 3 was aired on the 4th of July.
Our guess is early 2021, but we could be wrong.
Stranger Things Season 4: Cast
For obvious reasons the cast members are likely to return to their roles with even a few addition of newer roles depending on the plot.
If you have watched season 3, you know the cast list will miss out on a couple of names when the show returned.
Noah Schnapp (Will), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin, Finn Wolfhard as Mike and Sadie Sink (as Max).
Plot: Stranger Things
It seems as tho,Season 4 will focus on the Eleven and how, or if, she will or can ever gets her powers back.
If you haven’t watched the finale of season 3, El loses her powers and she is no longer capable to locate people in the void or move things with her mind.
Season 4 will likely explore the new dynamics on the gang split, Mike and Eleven’s relationship and many more. It’s super exciting stuff.
Spoiler: Hopper is Alive!
David Harbour, who is the actor for the character Hopper shared on his social media to speculate. “Who knows? We’re shut down now,” “It was supposed to come out early next year, I think, although I don’t have authority on this. And now I don’t know. That’ll probably be pushed back. Hopefully we can get back to work but I don’t know what that looks like.”

There is indeed a trailer for the fourth season with major spoilers and even some shock with the certain key character not quite as dead as we thought they might have in the previous seasons.
How many episodes will be in Stranger Things season 4?
It isn’t officially confirmed yet but it depends on the Duffer Brothers and the story they have to tell.
With Season 1 having 8 episodes, season 2 had 9 episodes and season 3 again back to 8 episodes. There has been speculation of Season 4 having 9 episode.
However that is no official confirmation. Who knows they might have only 8 episode same as season 1. But you never know.
