Fleabag Season 3 is an Upcoming TV Series. Balancing two opposite genres while not letting it get overbearing isn’t a simple job. That’s why tragicomedy is such a challenging genre to master.
However, a tragedy for a few are often comic to others. And ‘Fleabag‘ spectacularly does this job. supported Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s award-winning play of an equivalent name, the series debuted on BBC in July 2016.
Also, the show’s second season premiered last year on 8th April. The series has 12 episodes in total, with six episodes each season. Additionally, Waller-Bridge also creates, writes, and plays the titular role of the series.
Fleabag Season 3 Release Date
Sadly for fans, there are not any plans for the show to return. So for now, ‘Fleabag’ is nearly as good as over.
However, in an interview last year, Waller-Bridge remained vague about the series’ future. Though she also suggested that the comedy-drama might return, but not anytime soon.
Whatever happens, we are quite sure that the third season will happen, if not now, then later.
Fleabag Season 3 Plot
The series follows an unnamed character known only as ‘Fleabag.’ She’s an angry and free-spirited woman living in London. The story shows Fleabag as she copes with various aspects of her life.
The series may be a mixture of comedy, tragedy, and dram genre. Furthermore, it breaks the ‘fourth wall’ quite frequently. and thru these ‘breaks,’ the show gives the viewers expositions and commentaries on the story’s happenings.
Since the series renewal is yet to happen, we don’t know anything about the plot. However, we assume that season three would tell the subsequent chapter of Fleabag’s life.
Furthermore, the new season could also explore the results of her hack with the Priest. Whether she struggles together with her father marrying her godmother would make a plot-point of the third season.
Fleabag Season 3 Cast Members
Waller-Bridge are going to be returning needless to say as Fleabag, Sian Clifford will return as Fleabag’s sister Claire and Bill Paterson, and Olivia Colman would be back as Fleabag’s dad and godmother, respectively.
Also returning within the cast is going to be actor Brett Gelman, who will reprise his role as Martin in season 3. He’s playing the character of Claire’s husband. Their marriage, however, ended up with the top of season 2. Additional to the present, Andrew Scott could also return in season 3 because of the priest.
