Outlander Season 6 is an upcoming English television series where Claire touched the stones at Craigh Na Dun and traveled back to 18th Century Scotland.
The show is based on a Novel historical fiction, drama, adventure, romance, and fantasy stories.
It is quite an interesting watch.
Outlander season 6: Release date
If we go back to 2018, we know that Starz give the greenlight for the double renewal of the series even before Season 5 came out.
Initially, Season 5 was set to premiere in late 2019 but was air in February 2020.
Season five was premiered just in February of 2020, which isn’t very long ago.
That means that the Season 6 ‘Droughtlander will continue for a while now especially with the whole COVID lockdown going on and we might not see an episode for the next season until 2021 at the very earliest.
Star Sam Heughan also states that there might be a big wait for new episodes similar to last season.
Outlander Season 6: Plot
Outlander season six might loosely revolve around A Breath of Snow and Ashes which is the sixth book of Diana Gabaldon’s sixth book in the series.
However, it doesn’t guarantee anything for the upcoming episodes that it will stick closely to the book.
The ending of season five could give us some idea for the assumption of where the series might head to.
For instance, Will Marsali, experience any guilt from that poison injection?
Now that Brianna also knows about her half-brother William, will she finally get to meet him? There are too many questions to be answered.
However, there are no official plot details for season 6 shared publicly. As mentioned above, Season 6 might be based on the events of ‘A Breath of Snow and Ashes’.
The novel is involved in what happens after Season 5. So, it might follow after the events of Book 5 with the political unrest.
Outlander Season 6: Cast
Considering that there is no major revamp or the cast members leaving Outlander, we expect the main cast from previous seasons to be back for the sixth installment.
