Peaky Blinders season 6 is an Upcoming series created by Steven Knight. It is a British crime drama show which is based around the story of the Shelby crime family after the ending of the first world war.
It is a hit crime drama for the BBC and has achieved massive popularity over the last few years with its stellar cast and gripping post-WW1 storylines. With that in mind, the hopes for the sixth installment is high for the Shelby family’s criminal ventures.
Peaky Blinders Season 6: Cast
There is no official confirmation for the sixth installment. But we can see most of the familiar face from previous seasons.
Does anyone remember Princess Tatiana Petrovna from season 3 who is played by Gaite Jansen where she was first seen on-screen after being brought to the Shelby’s by Sergeant Moss of the Birmingham Police.
Well, the current director for the show, Anthony Byrne would be willing to bring her back in the upcoming season. So, we can expect to see her back in season 6.
Although Casting for the sixth installment has yet to be confirmed, Cillian Murphy will probably return in his iconic role of Tommy Shelby, for which he has received widespread fame and critical acclaim.
Other cast members which could make a return include Sophie Rundle (as Ada Thorne), Paul Anderson (as Arthur Shelby), and Harry Kirton (as Finn Shelby).
Anthony Bryne also did confirmed about introducing a new female character to the show that could be seen in season 6. However, the style is not yet cast nor decided. There are even talks about Stephen Graham appear in the upcoming peaky Blinders season 6.
Peaky Blinders Season 6: Plot
If you watch the finale and the ending of Season five, you would know that it ended with Tommy Shelby pointing a gun at his own head.
Anthony Byrne did confirm that the upcoming season would be resumed and pick up directly from that scene. Fans of the show are excited to see what Thomas Shelby and the whole Shelby family in action has in store for the next season.
However most of the plot details are keep under wraps and is a secret till now.
The show’s director in a conversation with Digital Spy spoke that, So, the very first image you will see will be back in that field… Tommy, with a gun to his head. Then, we will move on from there, we resolve that amazing moment… it’s great.”
“There’s a great female character who is new, who is pretty dark. I haven’t seen a character like her in Peaky before.
Peaky Blinders Season 6: Release Date
Initially Peaky Blinders season 6 was scheduled and planned to air in 2021, but the pandemic prolongs the release window as the season 6 won’t resume filming for a while and may not resume until 2021.
That’s quite a bummer. But it will be well worth it.
The series was initially plan just for five series, so we should at least be grateful and count ourselves lucky that we’ll get another season to enjoy more of the Shelby gang and their violent shenanigans.
