Aladdin 2 is finally coming: It is a real-life adaptation of the original Disney’s Aladdin animated movie of 1992.
The Aladdin motion picture movie was directed by Guy Ritchie and produced by Walt Disney Pictures with a mix of positive and hate criticism.
But nonetheless, it was a massive hit in terms of grossing with over grossing $1 billion worldwide which puts the Aladdin movie in the 9th list for the highest-grossing movie of 2019, and the 34th on an all-time highest-grossing movie.
The movie was even nominated for many awards and won including the “Peoples Choice Awards”,” Saturn Awards” and “Teen Choice Awards.”
Will there be Aladdin 2?
It seems there will be another Aladdin with Aladdin 2 now officially on the way with the studio heavily invested in remaking some of its classic animated movies which three of them are released in 2019 alone such as Aladdin, Dumbo, and The Lion King.
How Does Aladdin Sets Up A Sequel?
In the first movie, Aladdin tricks Jafar into using his final wish from the genie to transform himself into a genie itself, thereby trapping himself into the lamp and grabs his parrot after it try to flies away.
The second sequel could be about Aladdin 2: The Return of Jafar to bring the villain back for another showdown. Who knows? Maye this is all in my head.
Whatever the case maybe, the plot details are kept under wrap and very secretive for now.
Aladdin 2 Release Date
On February 2020, Disney has confirmed that Aladdin 2 is officially on the way. This time the script are penned by John Gatins and Andrea Berloff for an original plot.
Aladdin 2: Cast
The cast for the sequel isn’t announced yet. The previous main actors, Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, and Will Smith may all return or may not but they aren’t currently contracted for any Aladdin sequels.
So, it’s hard to tell. But we do hope that they resume their roles.
Storyline: “Aladdin”
The story of Aladdin is about a kind-hearted young orphan boy Aladdin and his pet monkey “Abu”. They live in Agrabah which is an Arabian. On the other side of the story, Princess Jasmine, daughter of Sultan is tired of being kept and guarded and her life in the palace. One day She leaves the palace to explore the world outside the palace with the help of her friend Aladdin.
Exploring the palace Aladdin finds a magical lamp that will grant him three wishes. Accidently did retrieve the lamp and Aladdin uses one of his 3 wish to become the prince so that he could marry the princess, Jasmine. The story continues with Aladdin trying to fake and hide his real identity from everyone and Jasmine herself. Jafar eventually steals the magical lamp from Aladdin and reveals the true identity of Aladin which leads to throwing them out of Agrabah.
But In the end, Aladdin did returns to the city and the lamp was back to his master. Aladin freed the genie to live as a human. Jasmine finally becomes the next ruler of Agrabah and eventually marries her daughter to Aladdin.
