Overlord Season 4 is an adaptation of a Japenese novel series of the identical name.
The series was adapted by Madhouse animation studio. Season 1 was first premiered in 2015 and currently has a total of 3 seasons with 13 episodes in each series. The second season was aired in the first half of 2018 and the third season in the latter half of 2018.
The light novel receive instant hit in Japan. The creators of the show were inspired by it and spurn an anime series out of it. With the show preparing for its fourth season of the series, it is fair to say that it has been a fairly success show.
Overlord Season 4 Release Date
The show creators have not revealed many details about Season 4. It’s clear that the show has been renewed for a fourth season after Season 3 which aired in 2019.
Production for Season 4 was firmly underway. However, with the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the production has been delayed. The conditions are getting worse and so it may get delayed even further and there is no exact release date now.
To be optimistic about it, we might see it in late 2020 or in early 2021. If the situation gets even worse, it might get pushed back as far as 2022.
Overlord Season 4 Plot Details
The main narrative of the series revolves around a personality Momonga, who’s the player in the sport YGGDRASIL, which is an online multiplayer game. While game servers wasshut down, and he stays logged into the match.
Now, when he sets out to explore his world, he is trapped.
After many attempts to get out of there, he finds a way to go offline to come out of it. He is, therefore, living two lives and trying to survive in both worlds, but he has and can get more power in the game world.
Overlord Season 4 might revolve around the capability if Aniz will try to prove himself as worthy and capable.
For which, he will have to fight every problem and stand ahead of every issue while at the same time governing the Sorcerer Kingdom.
He starts planning to become a king there and wants to make the most influential empire there.
Overlord Season 4 will likely see more Albedo training the Elder Liches as the public officials of the Sorcerer Kingdom and more involved with political affairs.
