The Alienist Season 2 is a series set in 1896 in which the series of murders of male prostitutes in New York City is being explored and investigated.
It is based on the bestsellers psychological thriller by Caleb Carr, and follows a progressive criminal psychologist, or “alienist”, Laszlo Kreisler (Brühl).
It was indeed one of the best Shows of 2018 and was given a green light for season 2 based on Carr’s second novel in the series: The Angel of Darkness.
You need not wait for much longer because the series is set to air soon this year.
The Alienist Season 2: Release Date
TNT officially announced Season 2 for the show to be renewed in August of 2018. The second season was originally set to be released on July 19, 2020, on TNT with two episodes back-to-back based on the follow-up book,’The Angel of Darkness’.
However, with the pandemic going on, it is quite unsure whether that release ate will still stand or be postponed.

The Alienist Season 2: Plot
In The Alienist: Angel of Darkness, Sara opened her own private detective agency and investigates on a brand-new case. She also reunites with Dr. Kreizler and John Moore, to find Ana Linares.
Their investigation leads them into a path of murder and deceit and elusive killer.
Even if there are no leaks regarding Season 2 of the show, we can assume that it will pick up from where Season 1 left off.
Season 2 might focus on the corruption of institutions, the role of women, income inequality and yellow press sensationalism.

We might see the original cast back for the second installment of the series with each actors reprising their original roles.

We could also see the introduction of historic figures such as Clarence Darrow, women’s rights leader Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and painter Albert Pinkham Ryder.
