Shazam 2 is a sequel of the first Shazam which is a superhero movie released in 2019. The movie was directed and produced by David F. Sandberg and New Line Cinema repectively.
If you haven’t watched the first movie, you can skip this part and scroll down. Now the disclaimer is out of the way, Shazam is a movie that revolves around a fourteen-year-old boy named Billy Batson.
He arrives at another foster home and met with Freddy Freeman who is a kid from the same foster home. Freddy also happens to be a superhero enthusiast.
Billy soon becomes the superhero Shazam and starts exploring his powers with Freddy and he becomes famous. That is the basic storyline and in the end defeats Sivana, the Sin’s vessel.
Shazam 2: Release Date
Initially the date for the premiering of Shazam 2 was set on 1st April 2020, which mnay thought to be a joke as it is April Fools day, but the announcement was no joke.
Zachary Levi was also reportedly back for the second installment. Shazam 2 is in addition to the Rock Black Adam film which is currently in production. If you don’t already know, Black Adam is an arch-nemesis of Shazam.
Unfortunately, we wouldn’t be able to know if it is indeed a prank or not as the release date the movie must have been postponed due to the global Coronavirus pandemic.
Shazam 2: Plot Details
There is no official plot details for the second installment leaked or made to the public for now. However, it appears that Mister Mind (the most unique and most evil of all the sinister scoundrels ) will be one of the main villains for Shazam 2.
After Shazam defeat Dr. Thaddeus and the Seven Deadly Sins along with his newly-superpowered family, in the mid-credit scene, we see that the villain in his cell.
Sivana meets Mister Mind who is a highly-intelligent caterpillar-like creature who even has his own Monster Society of Evil, with Sivana one of the most frequent members in the society.
Mister Mind visits Sivana in his prison cell and proposes to work with him and team up to achieve their goals and defeat Shazam. However, rather than what we expect,we might see in Shazam 2 what Mister Mind is all about.
Shazam 2: Cast Members
Shazam 2 cast and staff members (directors, producers, etc) will be a reunion crew of the original, as director David F. Sandberg along with the writer Henry Gayden and producer Peter Safran back on board.
Unless a critical change is made, we expect to see all the main cast members back. Billy’s foster family including

There has been no official trailer out now for Shazam 2. The movie has to be given a green light for production and start filming, but if we’re looking at a 2022 release, then Comic-Con 2021 is our best guess.
